    About Us

Clinician-led care built for the realities of post-acute medicine

Third Eye Health is a national team of clinicians, nurses, care coordinators, and product leaders who believe better care happens when clinicians are supported, information flows clearly, and nurses never feel alone during a night shift. We view after-hours care as essential infrastructure, not an add-on.

Connected Care

Third Eye Health started with a bet on wearable technology in acute care, building a secure mobile platform on Google Glass to connect clinicians at the bedside with physicians in real time and testing it with first responders, ERs, and a mobile stroke ambulance. When the hardware could not deliver the reliability that real care demands, co-founders Dan Herbstman and Lucas Baran rebuilt the platform on tablet-based technology nurses could trust and pointed it at a clearer problem, the coverage gap in post-acute and long-term care during nights, weekends, and holidays. Today Third Eye Health connects floor nurses to board-certified physicians in minutes, backed by a dedicated care coordination team, to prevent avoidable hospital transfers and keep patients cared for in place.
